M embers of the Brookings-Harbor cheer squad showed holiday and seasonal fashions and raised money during a show in the BHHS cafeteria Saturday.

The girls raised about $450 to help cover cheerleading expenses at the event, according to Kendra Gonzales, cheer coach.

The show began with the squad presenting a cheer. Each girl then came out and modeled the fashions. The first set was winter clothes, including jackets. The second set was casual, but dressy clothes.

The outfits were provided by Love Me 2 Times consignment shop in Brookings. Shop owner Rosie Gottlieb gave a description of the clothes.

Following the event, desserts and beverages were served. The treats were made by family and friends of the cheerleaders, and a few were made by the girls themselves, Gonzales said.

Cheerleaders participating in the show were Jennifer Christow, Kaylee Cover, Hailey Failor, Ashanti Franks, Elle Garcia, Willow Hill, Laisha Olmedo, Breanna Stevenson and Kasilyn Ulery.
