Brookings Harbor Community Theater (BHCT) continues its production of Debbie Metzler’s “A Walk in the Woods,” a youth presentation directed by Tiffany and Teryn VanMaren.

The tales of Goldilocks, the three bears, Red Riding Hood, the three pigs, and Hansel and Gretel are all blended into one play while staying true to the original stories, according to a news release.

Goldilocks, forest-savvy from having to survive in the woods without a family, is on the run from the three bears but takes time to help Red Riding Hood, who is leery of her stepmother’s motivation in sending her out into the woods at dusk with a basket full of food and a bright red cloak. Along the way, they are saved by the woodsman (who also happens to be Hansel and Gretel’s father) and from the wolf (the same canine who plagues the three pigs).

“This show features a lot of brand new actors with tons of potential, and some amazing seasoned young actors,” Tiffany VanMaren said. Characters and actors in “A Walk in the Woods” include Goldilocks, Avery Chacon; papa bear, Chance Pyke; mama bear, Kaia Devaney; baby bear, Lucy Reynolds; bear’s puppy, Hailey Howe; Jack Horner, Jayden Roberts; Gypsy, Ashlee Day; Jack’s cow, Hailey Howe; butcher, Hune Bommelyn; Jill, Kaitlyn Ross, Red Riding Hood, Emmy Armstrong; wolf; Dezi Pruden-Jones; little wolf, Vivian Adomitis; baker, Peyton Bradovich; candlestick maker, Patience Russell; witch, Iris Powers; grandmother, Hune Bommelyn; woodsman, Abby Dorsey; Hayward Pig, Mia Day; Stickly Pig, Abigail Dollar, Mason Pig, Jostin Iribarne; Hansel, Christopher Willis-Blunt; and Gretel, Gabriella Buchnoff.
