Contemporary Christian Recording Artist Holly Starr returns to Trinty Lutheran Chruch for a concert at 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13.
During the past few years, Starr has garnered two Top 25 radio hits, had more than 4 million views on YouTube, been featured on “FOX News Live” and in in CCM magazine.
Her newest album, “Human,” follows critically-acclaimed projects — “Tapestry,” “Focus” and “Everything I need.”
While “Everything I Need” proved more worship focused, “Human” returns Starr to her storytelling roots and pop foundation. The album speaks of the “struggles with the pressures I put on myself.”
The lead on the album, “Run the Race” tackles a serious, personal topic for Starr.
“I actually wrote this one based on a time I struggled with probably the deepest moment of anxiety I’ve ever had in my life,” Starr said. “‘Run the Race’ was birthed out of this momen when God was reminding me, ‘You might have all this stress right now, but I’ve made you capable to endure through things that you don’t think you can endure.’”
It was a reminder that she is “Human.”
Admission is free. A freewill offering will be taken.
