2nd St.

California Redwoods Art Association’s 2nd St. Gallery at 1228 Second St. in Crescent City exhibits a collection of photography from December’s Artist of the Month, Catherine Balck.

The gallery also displays members’ collections throughout the community, including the Del Norte County Library, Sutter Coast Hospital and its Infusion Center, and Wild Rivers Community Foundation.

Arts and Culture

The Gallery of Arts and Culture at 175 H St. in Crescent City features the show “Art Safari,” benefiting the Smith River Alliance as well as the artists.

The show includes watercolor and acrylic works created by artists Rick Tolley, John Crater, Andrew Daneil, Paul Rickard, and Jeff Stanley. They spent the past two months painting in plein air along the Smith River.

Also featured are new watercolor paintings from John Hewett, created on his painting tour of Greece. A collection of original Christmas ornaments by Nancy Ehorn and Ann Holm are also available.

Art in Public Places

The Del Norte Association for Cultural Awareness’ (DNACA) Art in Public Places exhibit is its 27th Annual Juried Multimedia Show on display through Jan. 17.

DNACA’s Art in Public Places exhibits are available for viewing in the Del Norte County Courthouse at 450 H St. in Crescent City. The courthouse is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.
