Nature’s Coastal Holiday, a seasonal show with a half-million lights in Azalea Park, opened Friday and will continue from 5 to 9 nightly through Dec. 31.

The festival of lights has already attracted locals as well as people from the Rogue Valley, Coos Bay and points in California.

Admission is $2 for teens and adults. Children 12 and younger enter for free. Visitors can stroll past light displays at their leisure and take photos. Cookies, hot chocolate and cider are served at the snack shack. Each night, a differnent community organization will serve. The Capella by the Sea is open most nights.

Princess Elsa from “Frozen” will be at the gazebo from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturdays and Sunday, Dec. 1, 2, 8 and 9, and Friday and Saturday, Dec. 21 and 22. Santa and Mrs. Claus will visit from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Dec. 14 and 15, and Sunday and Monday, Dec. 23 and 24.

New this year, the parking lot on North Bank Chetco River Road has street lights providing additional parking.
