Stagelights presents an evening of musical entertainment with Castletown, the Portland-area duo consisting of Robert Richter and Katie Jane Lubiens.

The performance is at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, in the Brookings Harbor High School auditorium at 625 Pioneer Road in Brookings.

Adult tickets are $10 and students and children are admitted free.

Proceeds go toward ongoing music education workshops for the community, and to help local school music programs.

People might remember Castletown from last year’s Wild Rivers Music Festival. They have also played the Brew and Art Fest in Gold Beach for a number of years.

Castletown performs American Celtic fiddle tunes mixed with original songs with flavors of blues, jazz, rock ’n’ roll and classical.

Castletown has shared the stage with Irish fiddler Kevin Burke, classic rocker Al Stuart and singer Keith Greeninger.

Following their performance, Richter and Lubiens will introduce “The Magical Musical Petting Zoo,” and give people a chance to try out instruments. They will answer questions about music or stringed instruments. Earlier in the day, they will be appear at music classes at Brookings-Harbor High School with music and the petting zoo.
