Coastal Christmas Elves will decorate downtown Brookings beginning at 9 a.m. Meet at the Downtown Coffee Lounge, 625 Chetco Ave., Brookings. Cookies, coffee and hot chocolate will be served.

ChariTree Holiday Festival is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Chetco Grange Community Center, 97895 Shopping Center Ave., Harbor. Christmas trees decorated by nonprofits will be sold in a silent auction. A kids store will be open and lunch served for $5. Santa will be present.

Rogue Grange and Community Center hosts an open house to celebrate the Grange’s 150th anniversary from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Grange building, 33043 Nesika Road, Nesika Beach. Free finger-foods and drinks will be served. Entertainment provided by Dan Dresser.

Rogue Valley Windchaser Club invite the public to fly kites at Crescent City’s South Beach off Anchor Way. The event begins at 10 a.m. and continues all day. It will also be Sunday, Dec. 3. The club offers free kites for children, the use of trainer kites for beginners and advanced kite-flying lessons. The event is canceled if raining.
