Brady Lee Purdue

July 30, 1957-March 13, 2014

Former Brookings resident Brady Lee Purdue, 56, of Anchorage, Alaska, left us last Thursday evening, March 13, 2014, to be with his Lord and Savior.

Diagnosed with pancreatic cancer more than a year ago, Brady surrendered his life over to Christ. His powerful walk with Christ gave him the confidence, strength and courage so that anyone who met him or already knew him could not help but become drawn into his faith!

Brady was born on July 30, 1957, in Arkansas City, Kan., to Dick E. and Joan B. Purdue. He was raised in Brookings, where he graduated high school.

He later made his way to Alaska. Brady was the general manager for American Relocations Services, in Anchorage, for more than 20 successful years of service. Brady love to "FISH," hunt, go four-wheeling and golfing. He enjoyed watching baseball, football and Christian channels. His passion became reading his Bible.

He desired to know his Lord and serve him. Every word he took into his mind, he took into his heart and shared his knowledge with everyone he met.

Brady is survived by his Christian loving family: his wife Georgia R. Purdue; mother "Mom" Joan B. Purdue of Oregon; sons Nick and Ryan; daughter-in-law Amber; grandsons Brian, Connor and Darren; granddaughter Amy of Wasilla; brothers Lynn, Lyle and Patrick Purdue of Oregon; sister Connie Crout of North Carolina; sisters-in-law Kelli Bower of Wasilla, Kathy and Stacy Purdue of Oregon; mother-in-law Mary R.
