Emma Lou Bolvi, 74, Astoria, died April 7, 2000, in Longview, Wash.

She was born Feb. 23, 1926, in Winlock, Wash., to Elsie Foster.

She married Wayne E. Bolvi Sept. 7, 1946, in Aberdeen, Wash.

She and her husband lived in Brookings in the early 1950s.

She lived in Astoria for four years. She loved her family, friends, gardening, music and restoring her historic home. She was involved in various prayer ministries in Astoria and Washington.

She attended First United Methodist Church in Astoria. She was a former member of Beta Sigma Phi.

Surviving are her daughter Shawn J. Bolvi, Astoria; son Gregory W. Bolvi, Jupiter, Fla.; grandchildren Ethan and Rachel Bolvi, Jupiter, Fla.; mother Elsie Foster, Grass Valley, Calif.; sister Janet L. Thomas, Grass Valley, Calif.

Preceding her in death was husband Wayne E. Bolvi.

A private memorial service was held. Burial was at Mountain View Cemetery in Tacoma, Wash.

Memorial contributions can be made to First United Methodist Church in Astoria or Gideon Bible distributors.
