Dana Friday King, 46, Brookings, died Aug. 23, 2001, in Grants Pass.

She was born Dec. 11, 1955, to Loren Jack and Bessie Friday in Martinez, Calif. She grew up in West Pittsburg, Calif., and attended Pacifica High School in West Pittsburg, now called Bay Point, where she married Jimmie Ray Luescher.

She moved to Brookings from Antioch, Calif., in 1991, and attended the United Pentecostal Church in Brookings and Crescent City.

Survivors are son and daughter-in-law, Jeremy and Tiffany Luescher of Lemon Grove, Calif; spouse, Karl King; mother, Bessie Friday of Brookings; grandmother, Marietta Harris of Madera, Calif; sister, Darlene Friday of Bethel Island, Calif.; brother, Darrell Friday of Gold Beach; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mrs. King is preceded in death by son, Jason Luescher.

Services will be held Aug. 29 (today) at 11 a.m. at Litty Funeral Directors, 517 Railroad Ave. Pastor Richard Gauer will officiate.

Viewing will be held between 10 and 11 a.m.
