Malcolm Mac King Hansen, 74, Brookings, died Jan. 18, 2002, in Seattle.

He was a resident of Brookings for 11 years.

He served as a merchant marine then worked in law enforcement the rest of his career, retiring as a U.S. Marshall.

He is survived by his wife, Liza of Brookings; daughter and son-in-law in the Seattle area; five stepsons and a daughter-in-law all in Arizona; two sisters and brother-in-law, Bud Hansen all of Brookings.

Also surviving are nine grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was a lifetime member of the Elks and Eagles lodges. He enjoyed fishing.
