The Ashland-based reggae/funk power trio Indubious will perform a free show at 9 p.m. Friday at the 101 Bar and Grill at the corner of Highway 101 and W. Benham Lane in Harbor.

Touring in support of its third CD "Wake The Lion," the band's latest songs features a progressive genre-bending sound they have dubbed "RootsTronica"- an eclectic mix of roots, reggae, dancehall, progressive rock and electronica, supported by lush harmonies and positive messages, according to the band's website.

The early response to the music has been phenomenal, as the band has moved to the final round of three in the national Marley's Music Uprising Band Search Competition behind the strength of the album's debut single "Seventh Generation." Indubious is generating a huge buzz regionally and is poised to break nationally, according to the band's publicity.

Fronted by brothers Evan "Evton B" Burton (keyboards and vocals) and Spencer "Skip Wicked" Burton (bass and vocals) and backed by drummer Matty T. Wells, Indubious creates a live show that, according to its publicity, "drives audiences towards a higher state of being."

The band has spent the last two years on tour, performing at many of the West Coast's most prestigious festivals including; Gathering Of The Vibes, Sierra Nevada World Music Festival, Reggae On The River, Britt Festival and the Benbow Summer Arts Fest.
