On March 12, Oregon Community Foundation named Oasis Advocacy & Shelter the recipient of Rental Assistance Program funding, in the amount of $40,000. The award recognizes the need for survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence and trafficking to have assistance with move-in costs.

Oasis has a long-standing history of assisting survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence and trafficking with emergency shelter and advocacy. The Rental Assistance Program is one of many services offered by the organization to help empower survivors to live a life free from abuse. With these funds, Oasis will be able to assist 24 survivors with obtaining housing and empowering themselves to continue to live a life free from abuse.

Oasis’s Mission Statement “Through advocacy, education, and shelter we promote change for people affected by interpersonal violence to live a life free from abuse.”
