This year is the 100th anniversary of the signing of the 19th Amendment granting votes for women.

To celebrate, League of Women Voters groups across Oregon will hold a variety of festivities, from luncheons to parades.

League of Women Voters of Curry County board member Anne Tlaker has written a play - “Path Breakers: Heroines of Oregon’s Suffrage” - which will be presented at the Ellensburg Theatre in Gold Beach at 1 p.m. May 3.

Food, refreshments and a silent auction will be available.

Tickets are $25 per person and from any league member.
