Curry County

Brian Scott Gallery 

Brian Scott Gallery, located at 515 Chetco Ave. in Brookings, showcases more than 25 artists. The November Artist of the Month is Linda Evans. Linda is an award-winning pastel artist who focuses on landscapes/seascapes. The Gallery is open Tuesday - Saturday from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. where you can enjoy ocean views from the third-floor patio. Fog and Fine Art Gallery 

Located in Wright’s Custom Framing and Art Supply at 810 Chetco Ave. in Brookings, the Fog and Fine Art Gallery displays many local artists showing a variety of media including jewelry, pottery, painting, and more. The Gallery also has a dedicated classroom that inspires new and seasoned artists with workshops. The Gallery is open from 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Saturday. Manley Art Center and Gallery 

Manley Art Center and Gallery is located at 433 Oak St. in Brookings. The Gallery features a display of heirloom-quality quilts by Annabelle Walkley, and self-portraits from members of the Pelican Bay Art Association. You can also view the portraits at The Gallery has a limit of 10 visitors inside the Gallery at one time, due to rules related to the COVID-19 virus, and masks are required whenever social distancing cannot be maintained. Del Norte County

DNACA’s 29th Annual Juried Art Exhibition

Del Norte Association for Cultural Awareness (DNACA) presents their 29th Annual Juried Art Exhibition, at the Del Norte Court House now through January 14, 2021. The exhibit features artists from Del Norte and Curry Counties, and a variety of visual art forms. Airport Art Exhibit

DNACA’s Art in Public Places exhibit on the 2nd floor mezzanine of the CEC airport at 1650 Dale Rupert Rd. is an exhibition of works by painter Horst Wolf entitled “Random Ramblings.” This exhibit has been extended through January 7, 2021. The airport terminal’s regular hours are 6 a.m. - 8 p.m. weekdays, 6 a.m. - 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. Saturdays, and 6 a.m. - 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. Sundays. California Redwoods Art Association

Renay Radniechi is the Artist of the Month at the 2nd Street Gallery, 1228 2nd St., Crescent City. Other exhibits include Susan Humphry at the Del Norte County Library, Catherine Balck at the Wild Rivers Foundation offices, and an exhibit of various artists at the Sutter Coast Hospital Infusion Center and in the Main Hall at Sutter Coast Hospital. “Colorful Critters of Del Norte County”

The coloring book “Colorful Critters of Del Norte County” makes a unique gift for children and adults alike! It can also be used as a home art and learning project. This book is hand drawn by local artist Rosemary Garcia, highlighting the “wild side” of Del Norte County with colorful critters. The book includes captions in English, Tolowa, and Yurok, and at the end of the book interesting facts about each of the 17 featured animals are included. “Colorful Critters of Del Norte County” is available at Del Norte Office Supply at 240 I St. For more information, contact DNACA at 707-464-1336 or

Coast Redwoods Art Association

Coast Redwoods Art Association, Crescent Harbor Art Gallery’s November Artist of the Month is Arlene Krogstad. Arlene’s work includes beautiful beach scenes and pictures of Battery Point Lighthouse. The Art Association is also holding their annual Membership Drive. Membership for the 2021 year is $40 for one person or  $45 for a family in the same household. The Gallery is located at 140 Marine Way in Crescent City, and is open Tuesday - Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and closed Monday. Face coverings are required. For more information call 707-464-9133.

Gallery of Arts and Culture 

The Gallery of Arts & Culture at 175 H St., Crescent City, is now open. Masks and gloves will be required according to the Department of Public Health, until they are certain the virus is abating. The Gallery has been sanitized and freshened, and is ready to welcome guests and visitors. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.  For more information, call the Gallery at 707-464-4745.
