On December 19, Gold Beach Main Street successfully held a Drive-Through Santa event that followed COVID guidelines. Volunteers packed and distributed 300 goodie bags to local children, who waited in line in their respective vehicles to greet Santa Claus. The goodie bags included toys, gloves and other treats and were funded by a variety of local organizations and donors, including: Southwestern Oregon Children's Foundation, Town & Country Animal Clinic, Kyle Ringer with Tu Tu' Tun Lodge, Coos Curry Electric Cooperative, Carolyn Cronberger, Bo and Kathy Shindler, Becky Atherton/Umpqua Bank, Bryan and Sandy Grummond, Dewey Powers, Sharon guinn, Iris Wilson, Cherie McNair, Laurie Van Zante and Kyrsten and Bryan Jones.
