Curry Public Library books

The Friends of Curry Public Library is asking for donations for its Great Book and Bake Sale in February. Photo courtesy of Friends of Curry Public Library.

If one of your New Year’s Resolutions is to “clear the clutter” in your house, the Friends of Curry Public Library in Gold Beach have a solution for you.

They are accepting donations of gently used books, cookbooks, children’s books, audiobooks, DVDs and CDs for their upcoming annual Great Book and Bake Sale, which will take place at the library over Presidents’ Day weekend in February.

All proceeds from the sale will go toward funding programs and projects not covered in the library’s budget.

This is a win-win situation — the library gets funding for programs and you are recycling.

Please drop off your donations at Curry Public Library on 3rd Street in Gold Beach through Feb. 12. The Friends cannot accept magazines, Readers Digest Condensed books, textbooks, or any damaged books.
