A New York-style fashion show had members of the Sea View Senior Living Community parading down the runway Oct. 23.

“The Fall Fashion Show was to highlight fashionable coats for the cold-weather season,” said Sea View’s life enrichment coordinator, Peggy McCormick.

All of the attire for the fashion show came from local thrift stores and from McCormick’s closet.

“The residents wanted to do something fun that had to do with fashion,” she said.

“Lots of folks from the general public came. The show was a huge success. We’ll be doing it again in the spring.”

All of the clothes from the thrift stores were given to the residents following the fashion show at 98059 Gerlach Ln. in Brookings.
