The Curry Student Success Fund offer scholarships to graduating high school students of private, Christian, home school, GED or public school backgrounds and to graduated students continuing their education.

Awards are made to students attending a public/private college, trade school, training program, or a certification program. Curry Student Success Fund is a nonprofit 501c3.

Since 2018, it has provided 26 local scholarships. This year's scholarship recipients are Tiffany VanMaren who is pursuing a BS in midwifery; Susan Echavarria who is pursuing an AA in human services/social work; Aleksandr (Sasha) Kay who is pursuing a BS in electrical engineering; April Jordan who is pursuing a BA in human services/social work; and Chloe McCrae who is pursuing a BS in kinesiology.

Three of these recipients (Tiffany, April, and Susan) are adults returning to school to earn degrees that will help them serve the Curry County community. McCrae is a Brookings Harbor Christian School graduate who currently serves in the Oregon Army National Guard. Kay is completing his senior year at OIT and works each summer for the local school district in the IT department, preparing computers for the school year.

The Curry Student Success Fund is proud of each of these awardees for their hard work in school and their commitment to our community. If you are interested in learning more about Curry Student Success Fund, visit or call 541-469-9850.
