The Curry Public Library in Gold Beach is joining the American Library Association and libraries nationwide for Library Card Sign-Up Month.
Throughout September, patrons signing up for their first library card will receive a drink voucher for the library’s First Chapter Coffee House plus a $5 credit on their library account against any future late fees.
Patrons who have lost their library card can get a new one for free during September.
A Curry Public Library card grants access to books, DVD’s, audiobooks, magazines, e-books, databases, learning kits, family packs and more. The card can be used to get materials from any of the other libraries in Coos or Curry counties.
To celebrate Library Card Sign-Up Month, Curry Public Library will hold popup libraries throughout Gold Beach where community members can learn more about the library, visit with staff and volunteers, and sign up for a card if they don’t already have one, held at:

1 p.m. Sept. 23 - Umpqua Bank, 29804 Ellensburg Ave.
