Bruins boys Basketball

The Bruins boys basketball team traveled to North Bend last Friday to face off against the Bulldogs, resulting in a 68-44 loss for the Bruins and breaking their five-game win streak.

The loss drops the Bruins to 2-1 in the Far West League, tied with North Bend and Douglas for second place. The Bruins are now 8-9 overall for the season at rank No. 16 in the OSAA 4A rankings.

The Bruins hit the road for South Umpqua on Tuesday to play the Lancers and will face the Marshfield Pirates at home 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Bruins girls basketball

The Bruins girls took a big win against the North Bend Bulldogs on Tuesday, 51-29.

The win keeps the Bruins undefeated at 3-0 in the Far West league, tied with the Marshfield. The Bruins are now 9-8 overall for the season at rank No. 19 in the OSAA 4A rankings.

The Bruins went to South Umpqua on Tuesday to face the Lancers and face the Marshfield Pirates at home on Friday at 6 p.m.

Bruins wrestling

The Bruins wrestling team competed last Saturday in the Eagle Point Wrestling Invitational with Tanner Wyatt placing seventh overall in the 138-pound weight bracket after losing his first match and winning the other three .

Jonny Zebadua won all three of his matches but was ineligible for placement as a junior varsity wrestler.

The Bruins traveled to Illinois Valley for a dual meet on Tuesday and head to Marshfield on Friday for the Bay City Duals tournament.
