Bruins boys basketball

To wrap up the the SAC Holiday Tournament after their first-round loss against the Western Mennonite Pioneers, the Bruins boys faced the the Coquille Red Devils for a 57-37 loss on Friday before coming back to defeat the Lakeview Honkers at 67-48 on Saturday. This puts the Bruins at 4-8 overall for the season at rank No. 29 in the OSAA 4A rankings.

Bruins Girls basketball

After their defeat by the Valley Catholic Crusaders in the first round of the SAC Holiday Tournament on Thursday, the Bruins girls basketball team went on to beat the De La Salle North Catholic Knights in the second round, but lost again to the Lost River Pirates. This puts the Bruins girls at 5-7 overall for the season at rank No. 24 in the OSAA 4A rankings.

The Bruins girls go on to play their final tournament of the year at Hidden Valley this weekend with their first match being against the Henley Hornets at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.

Panthers boys basketball

After their first-round defeat by the Kennedy Trojans in the SAC Holiday Tournament, the Panthers boys basketball team lost their second game against the Sheridan Trojans at 56-48. The Panthers then wrapped up the tournament with a 68-40 victory against the Gervais Cougars, putting them team at an even 5-5 overall for the season at rank No. 31 in the OSAA 2A rankings. This was the team’s final tournament of the season.

The Panthers go on to play the Harrisburg Eagles in Harrisburg today at 6 p.m.

Panthers girls basketball

The Panthers girls basketball team took a close second victory at the SAC Holiday tournament by beating the Gervais Cougars at 42-40. The victory was short-lived as the Panthers were drafted in the final round by the Santiam Wolverines at 54-48. This puts the Panthers girls at 6-4 overall for the season at rank No. 11 in the OSAA 2A rankings.

The Panthers girls play the Harrisburg Eagles today at 7:30 p.m. at Harrisburg.
