Nancy Lynne Banick, aged 79, died peacefully on Nov. 23, 2017 in Eugene, Oregon.
Nancy was born Feb. 12, 1938, in Klamath Falls, Oregon, the daughter of Ralph and Lena Aubrey.
Nancy was married to Clifford Banick, who preceded her in death, for 51 years. They had three children, Kimberly, Steven and Sharon.
Nancy’s family settled in Cottage Grove, Oregon where she attended school. After graduation, she attended beauty school to become a hairdresser. She moved to Medford, Oregon, where she met and married Cliff, in 1965. They and their three children moved to Klamath Falls, Oakridge and Leaburg, Oregon before moving to Brookings, Oregon in 1977.
Family and friends were Nancy’s passion and delight. To all who knew her, Nancy was a deeply loving, faithful, generous and compassionate person. She had a gentle spirit and lived to uplift others through her kind words and loving actions. She was selfless in all she did for others.
Nancy is survived by her sisters Pat Chambers and Linda Bucy; daughter Kimberly Howell of Wenatchee, Washington; son, Steven Banick and his wife, Tami, of Alexandria, Louisiana; and daughter, Sharon Banick of Eugene, Oregon.
She is also survived by grandchildren Tasha, Scott, Rebecca, Jason, Angela and Chris, and great-grandchildren Serenity, Shania, Elliott, Tallion Amyah, Liam and Avi.
Nancy will be deeply missed by family and friends.
A celebration of Nancy’s life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018, at the First Baptist Community Church in Brookings.
