Edgar Lee Forrest III, June 10, 1944–Nov. 16, 2017


Long-time Curry County resident Edgar Lee Forrest III passed away on Nov. 16, 2017 in Crescent City. He was born June 10, 1944 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Edgar and Janet (Conklin) Forrest Sr.

Edgar moved from Pennsylvania to New Jersey prior to moving to Glendale, California, and then to Oregon. Edgar was a police officer in Glendale for 15 years, and served another eight years as a municipal judge in Gold Hill and in Gold Beach, Oregon.

When he retired, he pursued his hobbies of scuba diving, motorcycling, fishing and enjoying time as a professional gambler. He was especially proud

Edgar is survived by a brother, Russell, of Lake Isabella, California.

A Celebration of Life will be held Jan. 6, 2018, at Blue Water Café and Lounge, 97900 Shopping Center Ave. in Harbor, Oregon.
