The Brookings-Harbor High School boys' soccer team played to a 0-0 draw Tuesday afternoon in an away game against the Sutherlin Bulldogs.

In a game dominated by stellar defensive play on both sides, the Bruins (2-1-1) had their chances, but were unable to put the ball in the goal.

"It was a good game," Coach Gabe Anaya said. "Our passing was good and we had a lot more opportunities than them. Both goalie's just had really good games."

With the help of the young Bruin defense, junior Gabe Anaya recorded his first shutout of the year in goal.

"They played a lot better than last week," Anaya said. "Now we're ready to go back home and play well."

On Thursday, the Bruins will be playing a home game for the first time in two weeks.

They will take on the North Bend Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m., with the JV squad playing beforehand at 3 p.m.
