The MotorSports Wranglers will be holding a Hillbilly Relay, Tuff Truck and Mud Drag races, and a “Dash for Cash” mud run at the 2014 Curry County County Fair with $4,600 in available prize money up for grabs.

Festivities begin at 7 p.m. on Friday July 25 with the Hillbilly Relay, which pits teams of five members completing tasks such as changing a tire or setting a choker on a set of logs, with $1,000 in total prizes on the line. Registration is $10 per person, $50 per team.

At 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, the MotorSports Wranglers will be holding the Tuff Trucks Josh Amos Memorial Extravaganza Event. A $1,000 prize will be awarded to the winner of the men’s and women’s races. Contestants are required to wear a helmet, neck brace and seat belt and all trucks be equipped with battery tie-down. Registration is $20 per driver and trucks must have approval of event officials before competing.

Finally, Mud Drag Races will be held starting at 1 p.m. on Sunday July 27, with a total of $1,600 in prizes available. Competitors can race in four different classes for a $400 prize available for each class. The classes are 4-cylinder, 6-cylinder and diesel engines; V-8 stock trucks; V-8 modified trucks (with more than four modifications); and a Powder Puff Purse. The cutoff time for entry is 30 minutes prior to the event and late entries will be charged $50.

During the halftime of the Mud Drag Races, there will be a “Dash for Cash” mud run where contestants race through knee-high mud in an attempt to win prizes.

There will also be a T-shirt cannon, 50-50 drawing, and possibly monster trucks and motocross racing.
