Tuesday, April 8 

Field interview, 1:26 a.m.: Police made contact with two people in the day use part of Harris Beach. They were advised of park hours and went on their way. 

Hazard, 2 a.m.: Old County and North Bank Chetco River roads. 

Power outage, 8:43 a.m.: An officer took a report of a power outage on Tanbark Circle and advised the caller to call the power company. 

Interference with making a report, 2:33 p.m.: An adult male in the 6500 block of Lucky Lane was arrested for interfering with making a police report and was transported to Curry County Jail.

Dispute/fight, 3:38 p.m.: 97900 block of Lively Lane. 

Suspicious conditions, 4:28 p.m.: 400 block of Spruce Street. 

Criminal trespass, 4:56 p.m.: 16200 block of Terrace Court. 

Found property, 6:36 p.m.: Fifield Street. 

Water problem, 8:25 p.m.: Water main was reported to be broken on the corner of Alder and Railroad streets. Public works arrived on scene and fixed the problem. 

Found property, 9:57 p.m.: 98400 block of North Bank Chetco River Road. 

Disorderly conduct, 10:32 p.m.: A female juvenile in the 800 block of Pioneer Road was arrested for minor in possession, disorderly conduct and interfering with making a police report. She was cited and released to her adult brother. 


Brookings police made five traffic stops. 

Wednesday, April 9 

Criminal trespass, 2:06 a.m.: 700 block of Third Street. 

Disorderly conduct, 9:27 a.m.: 600 block of Chetco Avenue. 

Dispute/fight, 1:54 p.m.: 16300 block of Highway 101. 

Warrant service, 3:44 p.m.: An adult female in the 800 block of Chetco Avenue was arrested on a warrant and transported to the jail. 

Criminal trespass, 8:04 p.m.: 1100 block of Chetco Avenue. 

Juvenile problem, 9:19 p.m.: A child was out of parental control on Court Street. 

Information, 9:26 p.m.: A person in a vehicle was advised of day-use hours at Harris Beach State Park day use area. 

Field interview, 10:29 p.m.: An adult was told to move along from day use area at Macklyn Cove.


Brookings police made five traffic stops.

Thursday, April 10

Field interview, 1:38 a.m. A couple in a vehicle parked in the day-use area at Harris Beach State Park were advised to get dressed and move on.

Animal complaint, 10:38 a.m.: A citizen was concerned for a couple of dogs left in a vehicle in the Fred Meyer parking lot. Police found the dogs were not overheated nor distressed.

Non-injury traffic crash, 11:21 a.m.: An adult male was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants following a crash in the 700 block of Chetco Ave.

Dispute/fight, 11:42 a.m.: An officer responded to a report of a verbal dispute between a mother and her 18-year-old son in the 500 block of Pacific Avenue. Both parties were counseled.

Animal complaint, 12:07 p.m.: A dog owner was cited after his dog bit another dog and caused its owner to fall down in the 500 block of Pacific Avenue.

Possession of drugs, 1:02 p.m.: An officer responded to a report of two students smoking marijuana on Brookings-Harbor High School property. No drugs were found in their possession other than by consumption. The school will handle the matter.

Lost property, 1100 block of Rowland Lane.

Information, 1:50 p.m.: A citizen reported bees swarming in the 200 block of Cypress Street.

Dispute/fight, 2:19 p.m.: Lower Harbor Road.

Theft of services, 2:44 p.m.: A citizen in the 700 block of Third Street reported being a victim of identity theft.


Brookings police made three traffic stops resulting in two citations.
