Tuesday, March 11

Hazard, 8:36 a.m.: Seventh and Hassett streets. 

Possession of drugs, 9:46 a.m.: A driver was cited for possession of less than 1 ounce of marijuana during a traffic stop. The marijuana was seized and destroyed. 

Non-injury vehicle accident, 11:17 a.m.: A three-vehicle accident was reported in Harbor. 

Hit and run, 5:06 p.m.: An officer took a report of a hit and run to a vehicle in the 500 block of Fifth Street. 

Criminal mischief, 4:46 p.m.: A citizen reported criminal mischief to a residence in the 300 block of Johnson Street. 

Found property, 5:29 p.m.: MIll Beach Road and Sandy Lane. 

Injury traffic crash, 7:43 p.m.: A two vehicle minor traffic crash was reported at Dairy Queen drive-thru window. An officer responded and helped the drivers exchange information. 


Brookings police made 11 traffic stops, resulting in five citations. 

Wednesday, March 12 

Hazard, 8:36 a.m.: Seventh and Hassett streets. 

Fire, 11:18 a.m.: The reported fire was actually a controlled burn that was being watched in the 16000 block of Carson Lane. 

Dispute/fight, 2:32 p.m.: 98100 block of West Benham Lane. 

Non-injury vehicle accident, 2:54 p.m.: Parties involved in a fender bender at Art Walk Alley and Oak Street exchanged information and declined police assistance. 

Dispute/fight, 9:14 p.m.: 16100 block of  West Benham Lane. 

DUII, 10:12 p.m.: A report of a loud dispute between a man and a woman resulted in the woman being arrested for DUII in the 1300 block of Chetco Avenue. She was released to a taxi driver. 

Possession of drugs, 11:06 p.m.: An officer confiscated a marijuana smoking device from a residence in the 1300 block of Chetco Avenue during a dispute call and brought it to the police department to be destroyed. 

Possession of drugs, 11:53 a.m.: A young adult woman was cited for possession of less than 1 ounce of marijuana at the Harris Beach State Park day use area. Her marijuana and smoking device were seized and destroyed. All three parties were advised to leave the day use area. 


Brookings police made  five traffic stops, resulting in one citation. 

Thursday, March 13 

Criminal mischief, 9:23 a.m.: Criminal mischief done to freshly poured concrete in the 500 block of Fern Avenue. 

Suspicious conditions, 10:04 a.m.: Railroad Street and Center Street. 

Water problem, 1:27 p.m.: 700 block of First Street. 

Hit and run, 4:03 p.m.: Mill Beach. 

Theft, 4:04 p.m.: 1000 block of Chetco Avenue. 

Illegal burn, 7:32 p.m.: Harbor fire personnel checked on a report of an illegal burn in the 15800 block of Highway 101. 

Fire, 7:47 p.m.: A citizen reported smoke following a lightning strike in the trees in the 96500 block of Martin Ranch Road. Coos Forest and Cape Ferrelo responded, but did not locate any fires. 


Brooking police made seven traffic stop, resulting in one citation.
