Acoustic circle jam

Oregon Old Time Fiddlers Association hosts an acoustic circle jam at 7 p.m. Friday, March 7, at the Odd Fellows Hall, on the corner of Highway 42S and Ohio Street, Bandon. Acoustic musicians are welcome. For more information, call 541-347-2229.

“Enchanted April”

Brookings-Harbor Community Theater presents “Enchanted April” on two weekends from March 7 through March 16. Show times are at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 p.m. Sundays, all at the Harbor Performing Arts Center in the Brookings-Harbor Shopping Center. For information: 541-414-4810.

Second Saturday Art Event

Brian Scott Gallery hosts its Second Saturday Art Event from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, March 8, and will feature a flamenco guitar performance, a scene from “The Importance of Being Earnest,” a demonstration on making chocolate, and a talk about murals. Refreshments will be served.


The Lighthouse Repertory Theatre presents the musical “Oklahoma!” on weekends from March 14 through March 23, at Crescent Elk Auditorium, 994 G St., Crescent City. Show times are 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 p.m. Sunday. For information: 707-465-3740.

Song and dance concert

Two on Tap, a song and dance duo, will perform at 7:30 p.m. at Sprague Community Theater, 1202 11th St., Bandon. Tickets are $25 and are available at Bandon Mercantile or by calling 541-347-SHOW (7469).

Relay for Life Trivia Night

The Curry Relay for Life 4th annual Trivia Night will start with dinner at 5 p.m. Saturday, March 15, at Howonquet Hall, on the ocean side of Highway 101 near Lucky 7 Casino, Smith River.

DNACA Concert

The DNACA concert series presents song and dance duo Melissa Giattino and Ron DeStefano at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 20, at Crescent Elk Auditorium, 994 G St., Crescent City. For information: 707-464-1336.

Redwood Wild River Run/Walk

The annual Redwood Wild River Run/Walk takes off for fun at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 22, along South Fork Road, off Highway 199 east of Crescent City. For information: 707-464-3779.

Oregon Beach Cleanup

The SOLVE Spring Beach Cleanup invites volunteers to help clean beaches from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 22. Gathering points on the Wild Rivers Coast are the Harris Beach State Park Welcome Center in Brookings, the Port of Gold Beach parking lot, Ophir State Recreation Site, Battle Rock Wayside in Port Orford, and The Barn in Bandon City Park. Whale Watching Week

Get help spotting spouts of the migrating California grey whales at many coastal headlands from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 22, through Saturday, March 29. Look for “Whale Watching Spoken Here” signs at Harris Beach State Park in Brookings, Cape Ferrelo State Park north of Brookings, Brother Jonathan Point in Crescent City, Battle Rock State Wayside in Port Orford, and Face Rock Scenic Viewpoint in Bandon. Elk Valley Casino presents country music recording artist Frankie Ballard in concert on Saturday, March 22, at Elk Valley Casino, 2500 Howland Hill Road, Crescent City.

Brookings-Harbor Home and Garden Show

Chetco Grange 765 will host a Community Dance from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, March 29, at the Chetco Grange Community Center. The dance will include live music. Refreshments provided by PEO.
