In love? Just broke up? Tell it to a microphone during a Valentine’s Day Karaoke Party from 6 to 9 p.m. today (Feb. 8) at the Harbor Performing Arts Center, 97900 Shopping Center Ave.

The all-ages event is sponsored by Stagelights and Brookings Harbor Community Theater. The cost is $3 per person or $8 per family.

The event, part of Stagelights’ ongoing community karaoke series, provides a fun, encouraging alternative to the bar scene. No singing experience is necessary.

Participants can sing solo, duets or in a group on a professional stage while friends and family dance and cheer them on. Singers are encouraged to sing love or break-up songs, but they can choose from a selection of more than 1,000 songs from all genres from the 1950s to current hits.

Snacks and food will be sold at the concessions stand, with proceeds benefiting the Brookings Harbor Community Theater (BHCT). Donations will also be accepted by Stagelights to fund future karaoke events.
