Holiday music abounds

The Coastal Tones, who shared their four-part harmony skills at last year’s show, will return to sing Saturday along with other groups.

Stagelights presents concert Saturday on Harbor stage

Six musical acts will perform more than two hours of holiday music at the Harbor Performing Arts Center on Saturday, Dec. 21, as part of Stagelights’ fourth annual Community Christmas Concert.

The event begins at 6 p.m. Doors open at 5:45 p.m. with a suggested donation of $5 per person. All proceeds will benefit Stagelights’ music education and outreach programs. 

People are encouraged to bring canned food items, which will be donated to the Brookings Harbor Community Helpers food bank.

The featured artists will perform secular and non-secular Christmas songs. They artists are:

•Crescent City Children’s Choir (featuring Brookings and Crescent City youth).

•Coastal Tones – women’s barbershop quartet;

•Sound Wave – choral ensemble from Azalea Middle School.

•The Jefferson Coast Ramblers – traditional folk/Americana;

•Patty Anne Da’Cunha – guitar and vocals.

•Youth Showcase – featuring a dance performance and songs by local youth.

In addition to being a fundraiser for Stagelights, sales from the snack bar will benefit the Brookings-Harbor Community Theater. 

The Harbor Performing Arts Center is located at 97900 Shopping Center Avenue in Harbor.

This is the fourth annual holiday music concert hosted by Stagelights Musical Arts Community, a Brookings-based nonprofit group that promotes live music events and music education in local schools.
