Nature’s Coastal Holiday

Nature’s Coastal Holiday lights up the gardens of Azalea Park in Brookings from 5 to 9 p.m. from Sunday, Dec. 1, through Tuesday, Dec. 24. Santa will be on hand from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday through Tuesday, Dec. 21-24.’


Trees of Mystery Light Show

The annual Trees of Mystery Christmas light show is on at 5:30 p.m.  Friday and Saturday nights through Dec. 21, on Highway 101 in Klamath.


Stout Mountain Railroad

The Stout Mountain Railroad runs its Ornament Express model train display from 1 to 7 p.m. daily through Dec. 24, in the Brookings-Harbor Shopping Center.


Christmas Carol Sing-off

Curry County Board of Realtors and Curry County Home Builders Association present the community Christmas tree in downtown Brookings on the corner of Chetco Avenue and Hillside Avenue. The tree will be the site of a Christmas Carol Sing Off on Saturday, Dec. 21.


Community Christmas Concert

Stagelights Musical Community presents a Community Christmas Concert at 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, at the Harbor Performing Arts Center in the Brookings-Harbor Shopping Center, Harbor.


Hughes House Open House

The Hughes House in Cape Blanco State Park, near Sixes, has been decorated for the holidays, with special open house hours of 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 21-22, and again on Thursday, Dec. 26.


Whale Watching Week

The annual Whale Watching Week along the Oregon Coast is Dec. 26-31, when volunteers will be at coastal headlands from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. to help visitors spot the migrating California gray whales. Locations include Cape Ferrelo north of Brookings, Harris Beach State Park in Brookings, Ninth Street Beach in Crescent City, and Battle Rock Wayside in Port Orford.


Brookings Art Walk

The Second Saturday Art Walk strolls through downtown Brookings from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11. Watch the Curry Coastal Pilot for locations and details.


Pistol River Concert

The Pistol River Concert Association presents The Quiet Americans with bassist Ronnie Ontiveros in concert at 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, at the Pistol River Friendship Hall, 24194 Carpenterville Road, Pistol River.
