James Edward “Jim” Niccum
James Edward “Jim” Niccum
James Edward Niccum, 76, of Brookings, went to his heavenly home on Oct. 29, 2013. He was born Oct. 1, 1937, in Nyssa. 

Jim was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Brookings. He was a very strong and caring man and he was always helping others in need. He loved his church and was very active before his declining health. Jim served his country in the U.S. Navy, stationed at Nome, Alaska. 

Jim is survived by Lorraine Niccum, his loving wife of 24 years; son Timothy Cordal Niccum; grandson James Wesly Niccum; granddaughter Sabrina Christy Niccum; stepchildren Randy Johnson and Sue Middlestadt. Also surviving are many step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

A Memorial Service will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11, at Faith Baptist Church, 409 Hillside Ave., in Brookings. 

Redwood Memorial Chapel assisted the family.
