Despite the Brookings-Harbor High School volleyball team’s final record of 1-11 in Far West League play, Head Coach Sam Greenlee is pleased with what her team has accomplished.

“Moments of greatness,” she said. “When they put it together it is amazing to see what those girls can do. I’ve seen such growth and change in these girls.”

The Bruins lost Thursday night’s final home game in three straight games to North Bend; 15-25, 19-25, 11-25.

For senior Jordyn Keys, having enthusiastic fans the entire season was a huge plus.

“It’s amazing to have our fans behind us the whole time no matter what, it’s a good feeling,” she said. “They picked us up at times, too, when they would go crazy for a kill, or a block or an ace, it would pick us up.”

The Bruins have one final tournament on the road today (Oct. 19).
