Friday, Sept. 27 

Prowler, 12:41 a.m.: Possible prowler at a business in the 600 block of Memory Lane was contacted by officers. He had permission to be there per the owner. 

Suspicious conditions, 7:11 a.m.: A citizen reported a suspicious bundle that appeared to be a person wrapped in a bag and covered with a tarp in a field on North Bank Chetco River Road. An officer contacted a transient, who was sleeping at the location. He was warned for camping inside city limits and moved on. 

Fire, 10:28 a.m.: Smoke reported on North Bank Chetco River Road was from controlled burns. 

Dispute/fight, 10:57 a.m.: Clifford Kamph Memorial Park on Highway 101 in Smith River.

Non-injury vehicle accident 12:49 p.m.: Highway 101 and Ransom Avenue.

Theft, 1:48 p.m.: An older male in gray van with peeling paint stole an electronic tablet from Fred Meyer. The suspect was from Gold Beach, according vehicle plate information, but officers were unable to locate it after it left the store.  

Found property, 3:05 p.m.: A citizen found a gold-colored bracelet near Vista Pub and turned it in to Brookings Police department’s lost and found. 

Harassment, 4:41 p.m.: Officers assisted a citizen in the 700 block of Second Street with a harassment complaint. 

Dispute/fight, 4:55 p.m.: A man and a woman involved in a loud verbal dispute in the 800 block of Pioneer Road agreed to separate for the night. 

Suspicious conditions, 5:16 p.m.: Brookings. 

Hit and run, 5:56 p.m.: Fern Street and Elk Drive. 

Harassment, 6:03 p.m.: 8:31 p.m.: 500 block of Pioneer Road. 

Criminal trespass, 9:04 p.m.: 99100 block of Freeman Lane. 

Suspicious conditions, 9:10 p.m.: Construction items were picked up by officers near the front door of a local bank and will be held in the property room for safekeeping until they can be claimed by the bank or by the rightful owner. 

Intoxicated subject, 11:20 p.m.: A driver in the 800 block of Chetco Avenue reported to be possibly intoxicated was not but had medical issues. 

Saturday Sept. 28 

Assault, 8:53 a.m.: 800 block of Railroad Street. 

Suspicious conditions, 12:57 p.m.: 17200 block of Parkview Drive. 

Theft, 3:02 p.m.: 300 block of Fifth Street. 

Burglary, 5:45 p.m.: 16300 block of Lower Harbor Road. 

Hazard, 6:16 p.m.: 1100 block of Chetco Avenue. 

Storm problem, 7:19 p.m.: Highway 101 and Oak Street. 

Intoxicated subject, 8:25 p.m.: 500 block of Chetco Avenue. 

Hazard, 8:57 p.m.: Rainbow Rock Road. 

Hazard, 10:38 p.m.: 5 miles up Winchuck River Road. 

Dispute/fight, 11:03 p.m.: 500 block of Fern Street. 

Fire, 11:22 p.m.: Brookings Police responded to Stateline Road. 

Dispute/fight, 11:52 p.m.: 16000 block of Boat Basin Road. 

Non-injury vehicle accident, 11:48 p.m.: Highway 101 near milepost 344.

Sunday, Sept. 29 

Theft of services, 7:57 a.m.: 1000 block of Chetco Avenue. 

Hazard, 8:09 a.m.: 1200 block of Ransom Avenue. 

Hazard, 9:43 p.m.: 700 block of Cottage Street. 

Hazard, 9:51 a.m.: Marina Heights Road. 

Hit and run, 12:37 p.m.: 1100 block of Easy Street. 

Suspicious conditions, 1:56 p.m.: 800 block of Chetco Avenue. 

Criminal mischief, 2:06 p.m.: 600 block of Easy Street.
