Storm clears out to sunnier weather

After dropping almost 3 inches of rain, the gusty wet weekend storm has moved on, leaving the Wild Rivers Coast with a forecast for good weather heading into next weekend.

 Though a few showers may linger through Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service Forecast, high temperatures should stay in the mid 60s, building to sunny days Thursday through Sunday.

The storm reached its peak on Sunday, with 2.12 inches of rain and gusty winds all day, according to the downtown weather station at the Curry Coastal Pilot office. The peak gust was 38 miles per hour Saturday evening, with another gust of 32 mph Sunday afternoon. Total rainfall downtown was 2.85 inches over the three days.

In Harbor, the AgriMet weather station measured 2.85 inches on Sunday, and 3.4 inches over the weekend, with a peak wind gust of 42 mph Saturday, and 37 mph on Sunday.
