Prowler, 2:17 a.m.: 1200 block of Ransom Avenue. 

Runaway, 4:31 a.m.: 1300 block of Homestead Road. 

Abandoned vehicle, 9:02 a.m.: 200 block of Wharf Street. 

Criminal trespass, 9:12 a.m.: 500 block of Chetco Avenue. 

Theft, 10:08 a.m.: 98000 block of East Hoffeldt Lane. 

Child neglect, 11:02 a.m.: 800 block of Pioneer Road. 

Hazard, 11:32 a.m.: Railroad Street and Memory Lane. 

Theft, 11:42 a.m.: 100 block of Park Avenue. 

Dispute/fight, 12:43 p.m.: 98100 block of West Benham Lane. 

Suspicious conditions, 3:48 p.m.: 600 block of Easy Street. 

Dispute/fight, 2:24 p.m.: 98100 block of West Benham Lane. 

Dispute/fight, 2:41 p.m.: 1100 block of Chetco Avenue. 

Suspicious conditions, 3 p.m.: 98100 block of East Hoffeldt Lane. 

Illegal camping, 4:09 p.m.: 1200 block of Chetco Avenue. 

Dispute/fight, 5:52 p.m.: 99700 block of South Bank Chetco River Road. 

Criminal mischief, 10:45 p.m.: Floral Drive. 

Wednesday Sept. 25 

Found property, 10:03 a.m.: An abandoned bicycle found on Buena Vista Loop was taken to the city shop for storage. The serial number shows it as not wanted or stolen. 

Driving complaint, 10:41 a.m.: An officer contacted the driver of a vehicle that had been reported as possible DUII on Chetco Avenue near Harris Beach State Park. The driver was not intoxicated but had medical issues and was very sleepy. A passenger took over driving responsibilities.

Bike/skateboard complaint; 5:04 p.m.: Officers checked on a complaint of skateboarders on Vista Ridge Drive riding all the way down to the highway, but he was unable to locate them on arrival. 

Tree down, 6:12 p.m.: Rainbow Rock Road near Coverdell Road. 

Tree down, 8:11 p.m.: Four 911 calls within a few minutes of each other reported a tree down on Rainbow Rock Road, blocking both lanes of travel.

Thursday, Sept. 26 

Non-injury vehicle accident, 6:03 a.m.: A two-vehicle non-injury traffic crash was reported at Chetco Avenue and Frontage Road. An officer assisted the parties with exchanging information and advised them to submit DMV accident reports within 72 hours. 

Theft, 7:46 a.m.: An adult male was arrested at Fred Meyer for third-degree theft. He was cited and ordered never to return to the store. 

Suspicious conditions, 11:43 a.m.: A citizen reported a suspicious van parked in the 500 block of Pacific Avenue across from the high school with its slider door open. An officer made contact with two men. No crime. 

Menacing, 1:47 p.m.: An adult male transient was ordered never to return to Bi-Mart. 

Found property, 2:18 p.m.: A citizen turned in a radio that he found in the middle of Chetco River bridge. 

Criminal trespass, 2:56 p.m.: An adult male transient was ordered to never return to a location in the 700 block of Chetco Avenue. 

Warrant service, 5 p.m.: An adult male in the 900 block of Chetco Avenue was arrested on a valid, extraditable Colorado warrant and transported to Curry County Jail. 

Dispute/fight, 5:34 p.m.: 16100 block of West Hoffeldt Lane. 

Misuse of 911, 5:58 p.m.: An officer responded to the 600 block of Spruce Street from which pocket-dial 911 calls have been received. He confirmed no emergency. The phone owner was counseled on locking the keypad and/or replacing the phone due to frequency of these calls. 

Intoxicated subject, 6:04 p.m.: A citizen was concerned about an intoxicated man sitting in his vehicle at a store in the 900 block of Chetco Avenue. Officers contacted him and learned he was just sitting outside with his dog while his partner was inside shopping. He had no plans to drive the vehicle. 

Suspicious conditions, 6:39 p.m.: A transient male with long blonde “scraggly” hair was observed looking into the windows of a business in the 300 block of Fern Street. When he realized occupants had seen him, he took off running. 

Custodial interference 6:58 p.m.: 19000 block of Barnacle Rock Road. 

Dispute/fight, 7:38 p.m.: Port of Brookings-Harbor. 

Custodial interference, 7:57 p.m.: 19000 block of Barnacle Rock Road. 

Field interview,10:28 p.m.: An adult man was ordered never to return to a Chetco Avenue address by an officer at the request of the business owner.
