Is your dog the happiest in town? How about the smallest or biggest? Is it the best or worst behaved? Does it do it tricks?

If so, it’s time to enter your pet in Dog Days Afternoon Mutt Strutt on Sunday at the Port of Brookings Harbor boardwalk.

The annual fundraising event, hosted by the South Coast Humane Society, is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with the competition set to begin at 1 p.m. Dogs must be registered before 1 p.m., organizers said.

The cost to enter in one category is $5, $9 for two, $12 for 3, and $2 for each additional category after that.

Additional categories include prettiest and best dressed dog.

Three judges will award first place winners in each category with a ribbon and a bandana for the dog. The winners will be featured in a final parade before the crowd and judges, with one winner receiving a $25 Fred Meyer gift card.

Last year more than 300 people attended the Mutt Strutt, which features live music, information booths, vendors and canine and children’s games.
