CRESCENT CITY — The Swedish acoustic trio Väsen will perform for the Del Norte Association for Cultural Awareness’ (DNACA) final performance of its 30th season at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April  23, at Crescent Elk Auditorium, 994 G St.

For 24 years,  Olov Johansso, Mikael Marin and Roger Tallroth have been creating music together — music that is a mix of Swedish folk music tradition and the world music.

“People who love Celtic or classical music will quite soon find their way into our music,” Johansson said.

Though consisting of only three musicians, Väsen has been said to sound more like a small orchestra. This is due to the number of strings which are being plucked, strummed or bowed at the same time.

Väsen has appeared on NPR and toured the world several times, and has no less than 16 albums to its credit.

Tickets cost $18 general, $15 for seniors 65 and older and $12 for full-time students in kindergarten through college. Tickets are available at Wright’s Custom Framing in Brookings, Del Norte Office Supply in Crescent City, and at the door at 6:45 p.m. the night of the show.
