Friday, March 15

Suspicious conditions, 2:56 a.m.: 600 block of Meadow Lane.

Juvenile problem, 8:15 a.m.: An officer attempted to locate two truant boys in the 400 block of Fern Avenue.

Harassment, 9:51 a.m.: A neighborly dispute over parking and dirty looks took place in the 800 block of Pioneer Road.

Suspicious conditions, 10:02 a.m.: A citizen reported a man walking on Highway 101 near Beach Avenue who as waving his arms and apparently upset about something.

Theft, 10:06 a.m.: 15900 block of Pelican Bay Drive.

Hit and run, 12:18 p.m.: A minor fender bender was reported in a parking lot in the 300 block of Fifth Street. The drivers exchanged information after the offender was contacted.

Information, 12:37 p.m.: Police received a report of  MedicAid scam calls from the 409 area code.

Fire, 16:47 p.m.: Four agencies responded to a structure fire in the 18100 block of Gardner Ridge Road.

Panhandling, 5:20 p.m.: A panhandler was warned of the city ordinance prohibiting panhandling.

Driving complaint, 6:27 p.m.: Police received a report of someone racing their quad on Del Norte Lane and Railroad Street. One man was counseled regarding the laws for operating ATVs on public roadways.

Field interview, 9:55 p.m.: Two pedestrians were warned about the dangers of walking too close to the fog line in the dark on Highway 101 near Parkview Drive.

Fire, 10:59 p.m.: A resident in the 97800 block of Court Street reported possible carbon monoxide poisoning, but refused medical attention. Harbor Fire Department responded and detected no carbon monoxide in the house.

Saturday, March 16

Probation violation, 1:26 a.m.: An intoxicated man was contacted in the 500 block of Chetco Avenue and found he was on probation and wasn’t supposed to be drinking.

Suspicious conditions, 3:28 a.m.: A resident in the 800 block of Highland Avenue reported two people who parked in front of his house and walked across the street to another residence.

Criminal mischief, 9:32 a.m.: A resident in the 500 block of Pine Street reported children were jumping on his car, caving in the roof and hood. He reported he will be making contact with the suspects.

Theft, 11:54 a.m.: A woman was arrested for theft in the 200 block of Wharf Street.

Unauthorized use of a vehicle, 12:45 p.m.: 14300 block of Highway 101.

Harassment, 1:14 p.m.: An ongoing harassment issue was reported between two exes in the 19200 block of Carpenterville Road.

Dispute/fight, 3:15 p.m.: A minor verbal dispute was reported in the 1200 block of Chetco Avenue between two men regarding a dog that had been left unattended for a period of time, allegedly with no food or water. The dog owner denied the claim and moved on.

Found property, 3:49 p.m.: 95900 block of North Brookside Drive.

Disorderly conduct, 4:07 p.m.: An officer spoke to children on Easy Street who were reportedly playing chicken with passing cars.

Injury traffic crash, 4:44 p.m.: North Bank Chetco River Road.

Lost property, 6:16 p.m.: An iPhone with a blue Otterbox was lost in Harbor.

Assault, 7:12 p.m.: A man was arrested for assaulting a family member at the Azalea Park soccer fields.

Fire, 8:07 p.m.: Sparks and flames were coming from a flue at a house on Floral Drive. The residents were evacuated and the fire extinguished by Brookings Fire Department.

Misuse of 911, 9:27 p.m.: A 911 call was received by a caller in the 16300 block of Highway 101 reporting a malware warning had popped up on his computer screen. The caller was warned for misuse of 911.
