Tuesday, March 5 

Rescue operation, 4:14 a.m.: 98200 block of Tuttle Lane. 

Dispute/fight, 7 a.m.: A motel resident was having difficulty with management. 

Criminal mischief, 8:55 a.m.: Vehicles in the 600 block of Old County Road were opened. 

Theft, 12:41 p.m.: A man and a woman were arrested for shoplifting in the 300 block of Fifth Street. 

Juvenile problem, 5:26 p.m.: A family dispute was reported in the 96000 block of Spindrift Drive. The people were separated for the evening.  

Suspicious conditions, 6:51 p.m.: Officers investigated a possible intruder in an unoccupied residence in the 800 block of Pioneer Road. 

Harassment, 5 p.m.: A citizen reported harassment because of his race in the 700 block of Spruce Street. 

Suspicious conditions, 8:36 p.m.: The report of a suspicious vehicle with the occupants shining flashlights into a home in the 98200 block of South Bank Chetco River Road was relayed to  officers so they could attempt to locate the car and question the occupants. 

Wednesday, March 6

Non-injury vehicle accident, 11:35 a.m.: A fender bender was reported at Beachfront RV. 

Non-injury vehicle accident, 11:37 a.m.: A fender-bender was reported in the 1000 block of Chetco Avenue. 

Suspicious conditions, 12:16 p.m.: A potential buyer of a vehicle did not return to pay for it in the 500 block of Chetco Avenue. 

Lost property, 1:09 p.m.: A checkbook was lost in Brookings. 

Dispute/fight, 2:26 p.m.: A conflict between father and son, 15100 block of Wedgewood Lane. 

Hit and run, 3:12 p.m.: Brookings area. 

Dispute/fight, 5:31 p.m.: A physical fight was reported in the16000 block of Hannan Lane. 

Intoxicated subject, 7:33 p.m.: An intoxicated woman left the 700 block of Memory Lane after an altercation with staff. 

Thursday, March 7 

Dispute/fight, 12:04 a.m.: A fight was reported at a tavern in the 98100 block of West Benham Lane. 

Suspicious conditions, 9:16 a.m.: A caller was concerned about someone entering residence of recently deceased person without permission in the 16400 block of Highway 101. 

Assist public, 11:25 a.m.: Political protesters harassing passersby in the 700 block of Spruce Street were asked to move on. 

Alarm 4:40 p.m.: Residential fire alarm, Brookings Fire Department responded to the report of a residential fire alarm in the 16900 block of Old County Road. Smoldering wood in a stove had set off the alarm. There was no fire. 

Threats, 5:12 p.m.: 15400 block of Oceanview Drive. 

Harassment, 5:23 p.m.: 600 block of Pioneer Road. 

Criminal mischief, 6:28 p.m.: A boy reportedly threw a rock toward vehicles, possibly striking a parked car in the 600 block of Railroad Street. 

Dispute/fight, 8:22 p.m.: A family dispute was reported in the 98400 block of North Bank Chetco River Road.

Water problem, 8:35 p.m.: A resident arrived home in the 900 block of Third Street to find water coming out of the lawn in two separate spots. 

Dispute/fight, 8:42 p.m.: A call was received regarding a verbal dispute at a business in the 300 block of Fifth Street. The caller believed it would escalate into a physical domestic situation. Officers arrived on scene and counseled those involved. 

Animal complaint, 8:45 p.m.: Police received a report of a lost dog on North Bank Chetco River Road area. The dog is a male French bulldog, tan in color. 

Driving complaint 8:47 p.m.: Two businesses in the 800 block of Chetco Avenue called a few minutes apart to report a man who went through their drive-through windows was nearly falling asleep at the wheel. The callers were concerned for the safety of the public and the welfare of a girl in the passenger seat. The vehicle was located at the registered owner’s residence a few minutes later. 

Lost property, 9:47: 16000 block of Boat Basin Road.
