Friday, Feb. 1

Information, no time listed: Oregon Department of Transportation officials advised Oregon State Police that someone has been stealing its work zone signs on Carpenterville Road. 

Saturday, Feb. 2

Injury traffic crash, no time listed: A 22-year-old Brookings woman was driving northbound on Highway 101 south of South Bank Chetco River Road when the pickup she was driving left the roadway, struck the curb and guardrail and then dropped an ravine. She was transported to Sutter Coast Hospital with unknown injuries.

Sunday, Feb. 3

Intoxicated driver, 5:10 p.m.: A caller reported a possibly intoxicated driver on Highway 101 in Harbor.

Man down, 6:45 p.m.: A trooper observed a transient was laying near the intersection of Highway 101 and West Benham Lane who had been drinking and was known to be on probation. The man had suffered a seizure and his probation officer elected to not have him arrested. The trooper gave him a ride to a residence.

Domestic dispute, 8:43 p.m.: A trooper responded with a Curry County sheriff’s deputy to a domestic dispute in the 16600 block of Crown Terrace.

Monday, Feb. 4

Injury traffic crash, 1:30 p.m.: A 63-year-old Gold Beach man was traveling northbound on Highway 101 near the Pistol River bridge when he fell asleep. His vehicle drifted onto the shoulder and struck several construction pylons. He awoke, overcorrected, crossed the highway, causing his vehicle to roll several times. He was transported to Curry General Hospital  where his blood alcohol was found to be .11 percent. He was cited for driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving, driving while suspended and failure to install an ignition interlock device in his vehicle.

Assist outside agency, 5:35 p.m.: A trooper assisted Gold Beach Police Department with breaking up a fight on Pacific Street.

Thursday, Feb. 7

Driving while suspended, 4:31 p.m.: A vehicle was stopped for traveling 68 mph in a 55 mph zone on Highway 101 near milepost 345 and the driver presented a suspended license, which he had failed to return to the DMV. He was cited and his vehicle released to his female passenger who had a valid driver license.

Assist outside agency, 6:30 p.m.: A trooper assisted Gold Beach Police Department with an injury traffic crash that occurred on the Hunter Creek Bridge.

Friday, Feb. 8

Non-injury traffic crash, 7:35 a.m.: A 33-year-old Sixes man lost control of his pickup when he encountered ice on the roadway crossing the Sixes River bridge. He received minor injuries but refused medical treatment.

Saturday, Feb. 9

Assist outside agency, 12:30 p.m.: The Curry County Sheriff’s Office received assistance with an uncooperative mental subject at Curry General Hospital.

Tuesday, Feb. 12

Harassment, 1:26 p.m.: A Klamath Falls resident volunteering in Curry County received a threatening message on Facebook from her stepson.
