Friday, Feb. 1

Found property, 5:45 a.m.: 300 block of Wharf Street. 

Juvenile problem, 10:25 p.m.: 600 block of Pioneer Road. 

Disorderly conduct, 1:58 p.m.: 800 block of Elk Drive. 

Injury vehicle accident, 2:04 p.m.: Lundeen Lane baseball field. 

Suspicious conditions, 2:12 p.m.: Behind Ray’s Food Place. 

Criminal trespass, 2:29 p.m.: 500 block of Fir Street. 

Theft, 4:09 p.m.: 500 block of Fir Street. 

Hit and run, 4:54 p.m.: 600 block of Easy Street. 

Saturday, Feb. 2

Forgery/fraud/bad check, 8:28 a.m.: 900 block of Chetco Avenue. 

Animal complaint, 10:49 a.m.: A small dog was attacked by a large cat in the 500 block of Railroad Street. The cat owner was advised of a city ordinance. 

Injury vehicle accident,1:32 p.m.: Brookings and Harbor fire departments responded to a single vehicle crash over the embankment at Highway 101n and South Bank Chetco River Road. A female driver was transported to the hospital. 

Robbery, 2 p.m.: 16800 block of Carpenterville and Rainbow Rock roads. 

Suspicious conditions, 6:22 p.m.: 97800 block of Shopping Center Avenue. 

Hazard, 6:38 p.m.: A citizen reported debris in roadway on Highway 101 at Harris Beach. An officer found a lawnchair off to the side of road, but nothing significant in the lanes of travel. 

Loud noise, 10:06 p.m.: Loud music and a possible party was reported in the 600 block of Easy Street. An officer arrived to find minors in a vehicle listening to music a little loudly. The mother was advised and the children went inside the house. 

Driving complaint, 10:10 p.m.: A caller reported a possible intoxicated driver was northbound from the state line. A traffic stop was initiated several minutes later by Brookings Police Department in the 300 block of Fifth Street. The driver was not intoxicated, however had been driving for approximately 13 hours. The driver was advised to pull over at the rest area and take a nap before continuing. 

Sunday, Feb. 3 

Possession of drugs, 12:53 a.m.: A traffic stop initiated for speed and failure to maintain lane at Chetco Avenue and Fifth Street resulted in two men arrested for possession of meth and marijuana. Both were lodged at Curry County Jail. 

Fire, 5:07 a.m.: A caller reported seeing flames in a planter that has spread up the wall near a window on business in the 800 block of Chetco Avenue. Brookings Fire Department responded and found minimal damage. 

Animal complaint 12:03 p.m.: Two large black dogs were at large between Redwood and Pine streets. 

Criminal mischief, 2:04 p.m.: 18300 block of Taylor Creek Road. 

Animal complaint, 2:17 p.m.: A female Pekingese was found near Railroad and Oxford streets. 

Burglary, 4:45 p.m.: 14200 block of Highway 101. 

Fire, 7:22 p.m.:  A flue fire was reported in the 17600 block of Gardner Ridge Road. 

Monday, Feb. 4

Criminal mischief, 8:44 a.m.: Gas was siphoned out of a vehicle in the 900 block of Chetco Avenue. 

Criminal mischief, 12:15 p.m.: Vandalism was reported at the car wash in the 400 block of Spruce Street. 

Lost property, 1:14 p.m.: A lost purse was reunited with its owner in the 300 block of Fifth Street. 

Warrant 1:32 p.m.: A wanted person from Jackson County was seen by an officer and was picked up on Pacific Avenue. 

Hazard, 3:30 p.m.: A U-Haul trailer parked in the middle of the road at Fern and Pacific avenues was moved in a timely manner. 

Suspicious conditions, 7:07 p.m.: A citizen reported someone was in the house next door with flashlights in the 800 block of Chetco Avenue. Police found it was the owner gathering some belongings. 

Probation violation, 10:50 p.m.: A city officer contacted a vehicle parked on Bridge Street and arrested one man for probation violation. 

Fire, 11:24 p.m.: A small unattended fire on Crown Terrace Loop was put out by Harbor Fire Department.
