Tuesday, Jan. 15 

Reckless driving, 2 a.m.: A caller reported a woman was “driving crazy” in Harbor and ramming her car into things and other cars, including the reporting party’s. A deputy was called out to respond and two city units backed him up a short way up Winchuck River Road. The woman was arrested for DUII and criminal mischief on Highway 101 near Museum Road. 

Hit and run, 10:20 a.m.: 300 block of Fifth Street. 

Suspicious conditions, 11 a.m.: 98100 block of West Benham Lane. 

Threats, 11 a.m.: 500 block of Fir Street. 

Non-injury vehicle accident, 1:40 p.m.: Chetco River bridge. 

Dispute, 6:32 p.m.: A verbal dispute was reported in the 1600 block of Highway 101. 

Disorderly conduct: A man was arrested for disorderly conduct in the 1100 block of Chetco Avenue. 

Hazard, 10:13 p.m.: A bicycle was found in the middle of the southbound lanes on the Chetco River bridge. The owner arrived on scene to collect his property. 

Wednesday, Jan. 16 

Animal complaint, 8:11 a.m.: A German shepherd found on school property was hiding in a storage unit. The dog was taken to the office and employees advised the dog was known to them. The owner was contacted. 

Harassment, 9:33 a.m.: A man was cited for harassment in the 200 block of Cypress Street. 

Injury vehicle accident, 10:51 a.m.: A single vehicle accident occurred at Loeb State Park. The vehicle was towed from the location and the sole occupant was transported to the hospital. 

Suspicious conditions, 11:19 a.m.: Two men who were acting suspiciously were reportedly checking out homes in the Pacific Heights area. 

Unlawful entry of a motor vehicle, 12:44 p.m.: The theft of miscellaneous items from a vehicle was reported in the 600 block of Old County Road. 

Child neglect, 1:42 p.m.: Police received a report of a man and a woman inside Lucky 7 Casino who left a child in the vehicle while they gambled. 

Harassment, 4:42 p.m.: A woman reported she was being harassed by a man in the 600 block of Chetco Avenue. 

Driving complaint, 5:51 p.m.: Police received reports of a possible intoxicated driver. The vehicle struck the Chetco River bridge, continued southbound with a flat tire and pulled over in Harbor.

Suspicious conditions, 7:15 p.m.: A suspicious man was reported in the 300 block of Fifth Street.  

Driving complaint, 8:03 p.m.: A business owner reported an intoxicated driver in the 1100 block of Chetco Avenue. Prior to the call, an employee approached the driver about the issue. The driver parked his vehicle at the location and walked away.

Thursday, Jan. 17

Suspicious conditions, 8:23 a.m.: 1100 block of Easy Street.

Found property, 9:25 a.m.: A small wallet was found at Chetco Point. Police were unable to contact the owner so it was placed in the lost and found drawer.

Threats, 12:16 p.m.: 600 block of Easy Street.

Harassment, 1:08 p.m.: A resident who lives in the 17700 block of Gardner Ridge Road came into the lobby to discuss a harassment issue. Because all events happened in the county, an officer referred the resident to the Curry County Sheriff’s Office.

Forgery/fraud/bad check, 1:40 p.m.: 700 block of Chetco Avenue.

Juvenile problem, 2:45 p.m.: A group of juveniles were contacted in the 500 block of Chetco Avenue. Some were waiting for rides, others had gathered to talk.

Suspicious conditions, 11:22 p.m.: A caller was unsure if someone was illegally camping in a trailer parked in the 500 block of Fern Avenue.

Criminal mischief, 11:47 p.m.: A vehicle was egged at Hassett Street and Kevin Place.
