Tuesday, Dec. 25

Animal complaint, 1:05 a.m.: Officers responded to the report of a dog struck by a car near Town and Country Animal Clinic.

Agency assist, 3:51 a.m.: Officers responded to a burglary in Smith River in which one suspect fled to Harbor and another to Brookings. The suspects were cited for receiving stolen property.

Fight, 10:17 a.m.: 500 block of Memory Lane.

Burglary, 1:45 p.m.: 200 block of Wharf Street.

Probation violation, 4:30 p.m.: Thompson and North Bank Chetco River roads.

Shots fired, 8:36 p.m.: A citizen reported he heard a gunshot on Jodee Lane.

Wednesday, Dec. 26

Attempt to locate, 12:47 a.m.: A citizen reported a drunk driver somewhere between Limbaugh Way and Cape Ferrelo Road.

Found property, 7:10 a.m.: A purse was found near Fern Avenue and Spruce Streets. Police retrieved the purse and contacted the owner.

Injury traffic crash, 6:23 a.m.: A two-vehicle accident took place at the Highway 101 and Bridge Street. One person was transported to the hospital and the other declined medical treatment.

Found property, 7:42 a.m.: A wallet was found at the Port of Brookings Harbor. The owner was contacted and said he’d pick it up.

Found property, 8:49 a.m.: A citizen called to report property found in his driveway in the 600 block of Spruce Street.

Found property, 9:43 a.m.: A wallet was found on Pioneer Road and placed in lost and found.

Unlawful entry into a motor vehicle, 10:01 a.m.: 500 block of Spruce Street.

Unlawful entry into a motor vehicle, 10:10 a.m.: 600 block of Pioneer Road.

Car clout, 0:33 a.m.: Several vehicles were reported broken into throughout the evening in the 800 block of Fawn Drive.

Unlawful entry into a motor vehicle, 11:23 a.m.: 600 block of Mardon Court.

Animal complaint: A citizen filed a complaint of two pit bulls running in the road along Cypress Street. One was dark brown and the other was tan and white.

Unlawful entry into a motor vehicle, 12:22 p.m.: 700 block of Second Street.

Welfare Check, 1:10 p.m.: Police responded to a request to assist someone who had fallen along Hillside Avenue. The fallen person declined medical treatment.

Lost property, 4:20 p.m.: A citizen reported they had lost a ring with a design on it at Fred Meyer.

Driving complaint, 5:44 p.m.: A citizen complained that a vehicle was being driven by an intoxicated driver near McDonald’s along Chetco Avenue. The driver was not intoxicated, but the passenger had alcohol in the vehicle.

Unlawful entry into a motor vehicle, 6 p.m.: 900 block of Hidden Court.

Thursday, Dec. 27

Animal complaint, 12:11 a.m.: A motorist reported he almost hit one of several miniature ponies in the middle of South Bank Chetco River Road.

Driving complaint, 6:47 a.m.: A citizen reported “poor driving” near the Winchuck River.

Fire, 10:06 a.m.: Police assisted firefighters at a flue fire in the 800 block of Midland Way.

Animal complaint, 12:14 p.m.: A woman walking her dog in the 700 block of Second Street felt threatened by a loose dog and its owner. The other dog’s owner was counseled on the leash law.

Unlawful entry into a motor vehicle, 3:49 p.m.: 700 block of Pioneer Road.

Assault: 16000 block of Highway 101.

Criminal trespass, 5:43 p.m.: A man was told to leave a residence in the 900 block of Hassett Street.

Animal complaint, 6:27 p.m.: A Chihuahua was reported missing from its home on Moore Street.

Minor in possession, 10:50 p.m.: Two male teens were cited at Pioneer Road and Ransom Avenue.

Intoxicated subject, 9:18 p.m.: Police responded to a report of a man outside yelling on the phone. The officer contacted the man and warned him for disorderly conduct.

Assault, 10:24 p.m.: Officers responded to the report of an assault between two siblings, one of whom was arrested and taken to jail.
