Tuesday, Dec. 4 

Alarm, 1:16 a.m.: An alarm in the 800 block of Railroad Street was cycling and no one inside the building. Officers located a bicycle stolen last week on the property. 

Suspicious conditions, 12:49 a.m.: A vehicle was left unattended at the Botanical Gardens. 

Possession of drugs, 1:34 a.m.: An adult female passenger of vehicle on a routine traffic stop on Lower Harbor Road was arrested for possession of methadone. 

Animal complaint, 10:52 a.m.: A neighbor’s dogs at large were bothering doctor’s office patients in the 300 block of Fern Street. 

Criminal trespass, 1:01 p.m.: Neighbors were cutting through a yard in the 800 block of Pioneer Road after being asked not to do so. 

Fight, 2:35 p.m.: A verbal dispute was reported in the 600 block of Old County Road. 

Found property, 3:02 p.m.: Lost cards were returned to their owner in the 200 block of Hazel Street. 

Theft, 4:53 p.m.: Two people were arrested for shoplifting at a business in the 300 block of Fifth Street and lodged in Curry County Jail. 

Hazard, 5:39 p.m.: A citizen reported a washout on North Bank Chetco River Road. 

Criminal mischief, 6:38 p.m.: Vandalism to a vehicle in Brookings. 

Hazard, 7:12 p.m.: A large slide with boulders was reported approximately three miles up Carpenterville Road, near Cape Ferrelo Road. 

Possession of drugs, 10:11 p.m.: During a routine traffic stop at Highway 101 and Zimmerman Lane, officers arrested a male driver for possessing more than an ounce of marijuana and the female passenger for possessing meth. 

Wednesday, Dec. 5

Found property, 8:55 a.m.: English Court. 

Theft, 9:02 a.m.: 800 block of Marina Heights Drive. 

Fight, 11:29 a.m.: 16400 block of Lower Harbor Road. 

Theft, 1:06 p.m.: 200 block of Wharf Street. 

Possession of drugs, 5:16 p.m.: A man was arrested for criminal trespassing and possession of marijuana in the 200 block of Matot Street. 

Suspicious conditions, 7:44 p.m.: A resident was concerned about the smell of propane fumes in the 700 block of Chetco Avenue. 

Suspicious conditions, 7:57 p.m.: An officer made casual contact with the driver of a suspicious vehicle. The driver advised the brakes had gone out and they were waiting for assistance.

Found property, 8:29 p.m.: A set of keys found near Highway 101 and Ransom Avenue were placed in lost and found drawer at Brookings Police Department.

Thursday, Dec. 6

Suspicious conditions, 1:17 a.m.: A transient sleeping in the hallway of a motel in the 1100 block of Chetco Avenue was warned for trespassing.

DUII, 1:25 a.m.: A 19-year-old intoxicated driver collided with the back of an Oregon State Police patrol car at Highway 101 and South Bank Chetco River Road. The driver was arrested and lodged in the Curry County Jail.

Telephone harassment, 8:06 a.m.: 500 block of Fir Street.

Suspicious conditions, 10:48 a.m.: A man was walking in the middle of Fifth Street and acting strangely.

Lost property, 10:52 a.m.: A set of keys found at McVay Rock State Recreation Area were placed in lost and found drawer at Brookings Police Department.

Fight, 11:46 a.m.: A civil dispute was reported at the Port of Brookings Harbor.

Criminal mischief, 2:21 p.m.: A window was broken at a residence in the 600 block of Pacific Avenue.

Juvenile problem, 2:30 p.m.: 700 block of Pioneer Road.

Suspicious conditions, 4:52 p.m.: A resident in the 1000 block of Easy Street was notified by a witness that someone was seen going through his property.

Information, 5:15 p.m.: A caller was concerned about a male transient who has his pants unzipped.

Elude, 6:53 p.m.: A man wanted on a warrant eluded officers in the 300 block of Fifth Street.

Non-injury traffic crash, 7:22 p.m.: Two vehicles collided in the 15500 block of Highway 101.

Animal complaint, 7:41 p.m.: Two cars hit a deer on the Chetco River bridge.

DUII, 7:46 p.m.: A fast-food restaurant employee reported a woman driving in the drive thru was possibly intoxicated. Police located the driver and she was arrested.
