Friday, Nov. 2

Custodial interference, 9:31 a.m.:  600 block of Old County Road. 

Forgery/fraud/bad check, 12:14 p.m.: Internet fraud was reported in the 700 block of Fourth Street. 

Non-injury vehicle accident, 12:29 p.m.: A minor fender bender was reported in a parking lot in the 300 block of Fifth Street. 

Non-injury vehicle accident, 1:38 p.m.: Two drivers had a fender bender at Fern Street and Chetco Avenue. 

Non-injury vehicle accident, 3:57 p.m.: 97900 block of Shopping Center Avenue. 

Custodial interference, 8:27 p.m.: 1700 block of Arch Lane. 

Saturday, Nov. 3 

Tree down, 9:23 a.m.: Highway 101 near milepost 335. 

Non-injury vehicle accident, 10:29 a.m.: A report of a non-injury accident involving two vehicles was transferred to Oregon State Police. 

Theft, 12:21 p.m.: An officer assisted a person with a theft complaint in the1300 block of English Court.

Non-injury vehicle accident, 12:32 p.m.: A minor non-injury fender bender was reported at Chetco Avenue and Fifth Street. The parties exchanged information 

Non-injury vehicle accident, 12:37 p.m.: The report of an accident on Shopping Center Avenue was transferred to the Curry County Sheriff’s Office. 

Non-injury vehicle accident, 12:48 p.m.: A traffic crash at Chetco Avenue at Bridge Street resulted in a DUII arrest. 

Water problem, 12:54 p.m.: A water meter leak was reported in the 700 block of First Street. 

Theft, 2:12 p.m.: The possible theft of cash from from a care facility resident was reported in the 400 block of Fern Street. 

Found property, 3:51 p.m.: A white cell phone found at Harris Beach was returned to its owner. 

Juvenile problem, 5 pm.: Officers responded to dispute between children in the 600 block of Old County Road which had  stemmed from a dispute between the parents of the children. All parties were counseled. 

Fire, 5:24 p.m.: Cape Ferrelo Fire Department responded to a furnace fire reported at residence in the 96500 block of Duley Creek Road. 

Suspicious conditions, 7:42 p.m.: A citizen observed a tall man dressed in dark clothing who was hiding in the shadows on Easy Street near the school. Officers responded right away, but were unable to locate anyone. 

Attempt to locate, 8:14 p.m.: A restaurant employees observed a silver Honda occupied by four people who were drinking while in the drive-thru lane. 

Fight, 8:16 p.m.: A caller requested an ambulance for a combative elderly man. An Oregon State Police trooper responded, as no deputy was on duty, along with the ambulance.

Attempt to locate, 8:33 p.m.: An individual possibly furnishing alcohol to a minor was witnessed in the 900 block of Chetco Avenue and reported to Brookings Police Department. 

Sunday, Nov. 4

Water problem, 9:57 a.m.: 1200 block of Collis Lane. 

Suspicious conditions, 10:35 a.m.: 1300 block of English Court. 

Found property, 10:39 a.m.: A wallet was found between Mill and Center streets. 

Abandoned vehicle, 11:05 a.m.: Bridge Street. 

Harassment, 11:29 a.m.: 800 block of Chetco Avenue. 

Driving complaint, 11:42 a.m.: A possible intoxicated driver was northbound from Brookings in dark burgundy car, failing to maintain lane of travel, cutting drivers off in turn lanes.  

Driving complaint, 1:11 p.m.: A citizen reported a careless driver. An officer made contact with driver who was counseled on proper lane changing. 

Welfare check, 2:41 p.m.: A citizen was concerned about a man staggering along the sidewalk. An officer contacted the man sitting on the corner of Elk Drive  and Fifth Street. He was waiting for a taxi.

Shots fired, 3:17 p.m.: A citizen reporting hearing shots fired in the 98800 block of Pleasant Hill Drive. 

Theft, 3:21 p.m.: 300 block of Fifth Street. 

Littering, 4:01 p.m.: A citizen reported seeing a bearded man throw a bike over the railing of the Chetco River bridge from the upriver side. 

Disorderly conduct, 4:11 p.m.: A man was seen running naked at the high school track He was contacted by police and escorted to Outreach Gospel Mission. 

Illegal fireworks, 6:12 p.m.: Aerial fireworks were seen and heard in the Spruce Drive area. 

Possession of drugs,10:07 p.m.: An adult male driver was arrested for possession of methamphetamine on Chetco Avenue. He was also cited for driving while suspended violation. 

Transient information, 11:42 p.m.: A person in long, dark coat was going through garbage cans in the area. An officer responded and, although he was unable to locate the person, believes it is a transient known to him who habitually does this looking for recyclables in the Velopa Court and Tanbark  Road area. 

Monday, Nov. 5 

Transient information, 7:38 a.m.: A transient male was walking down Chetco Avenue throwing items at vehicles. 

Abandoned vehicle, 8:23 a.m.: A vehicle with broken windows was left on Bridge Street after it was involved in an accident the previous evening. 

Fight, 9:03 a.m.: 98000 block of Olsen Lane.

Fire, 9:33 a.m.: Several motorists saw flames on the side of the hill that was part of a controlled burn near the state line. 

Criminal mischief, 2:53 p.m.: Someone had dumped concrete in the toilets at the skate park and also in the skatebowl. 

Hit and run, 3:16 p.m.: Fender bender in a parking lot in the 300 block of Fifth Street. 

Injury vehicle accident, 3:16 p.m.: A two-vehicle traffic crash in the 600 block of Chetco Avenue resulted in one person being taken to the hospital. 

Criminal trespass, 4:35 p.m.: Azalea Middle School. 

Animal complaint, 5:10 p.m.: Two dogs were running on the highway near Harris Beach. 

Fight, 7:29 p.m.: A domestic dispute in the 16000 block of Boat basin Road was referred to the Curry County Sheriff’s Office,

Fight, 7:38 p.m.: A resident on Matot Street reported a possible dispute. Officers checked and found that the male who reportedly lives there is not there now. All others were fine.
