Friday, Oct. 19

Fight, 6:53 a.m.: A citizen in the 16400 block of Lower Harbor road reported hearing a man and woman arguing and perhaps hearing the woman mentioning a gun.

Animal complaint, 8:26 a.m.: Two cows were on the loose on Winchuck River Road near Liles Lane.

Disorderly conduct, 9:31 a.m.: A person in the lobby of a business in the 500 block of Chetco Avenue was making threats and refusing to leave. 

Criminal mischief, 11 a.m.: Welcome to Brookings sign.

Forgery/fraud/bad check, 11:46 a.m.: A caller in the 1000 block of Old County Road reported selling an item and receiving a fraudulent check for well-over the value of the item with instructions to cash it.

Harassment, 12:54 p.m.: A caller requested the other person be counseled in the 98600 block of Seahorse Lane.

Fire, 1:19 p.m.: A fire caused by a cigarette was reported in a trash container in the 300 block of Fifth Street. Employees were able to extinguish it.

Child neglect, 2:33 p.m.: A child was found wandering on Alder Street. The family was located and the child returned.

Suspicious conditions, 8:14 p.m.: A caller reported suspicious people and hearing weird noises in the in the 200 block of Allen Lane.

Loud noise, 9:47 p.m.: Loud music was reported in the 400 block of Maple Street.

Saturday, Oct. 20

Suspicious conditions, 10:57 a.m.: 300 block of Matot Street.

Lost property, 12:35 p.m.: Brookings.

Illegal burning, 1:289 p.m.: Highway 101 and East Benham Lane.

Assault, 2:37 p.m.: A minor altercation was reported in the 600 block of Pacific Avenue. A couple in the midst of ending a relationship wanted to press charges against each other.

Hit and run, 2:42 p.m.: 300 block of Fifth Street.

Menacing, 5:35 p.m.: A citizen reported juveniles in a garage on Limbaugh Way were pointing a pellet gun at passersby.

Suspicious conditions, 7:32 p.m.: A caller in the 17200 block of South Passley Road reported two men knocked on the door saying they ran out of gas and asked to come into the house. When the caller refused, she said the men left on foot, cutting through her back yard.

Dispute, 9:13 p.m.: 900 block of Krista Lane.

Loud noise, 9:41 p.m.: 600 block of Chetco Avenue.

Suspicious conditions, 10:31 p.m.: 500 block of Railroad Street.

Sunday, Oct. 21

Forgery/fraud/bad check, 3:07 a.m.: A business in the 300 block of Cove Road reported receiving a document requesting information and payment.

Hit and run, 11:35 a.m.: 200 block of Cypress Street.

Illegal dumping, 8:17 p.m.: A citizen reported he received a phone message accusing him of illegal dumping.

Monday, Oct. 22

Animal complaint, 7:31 a.m.: A caller in the 500 block of Fern Street advised that the neighborhood cat was run over.

Juvenile problem, 8:17 a.m.: A student was reportedly bumped by a vehicle in front of Azalea Middle School.

Illegal dumping, 10:03 a.m.: Trash was being placed in a church bin without permission in the 700 block of Elk Drive.

Suspicious conditions, 10:40 a.m.: A man was hit by a thrown bottle while riding a motorcycle on East Camellia Drive.

Telephone harassment, 11:29 p.m.:  A resident in the 99100 block of Grandview Drive reported receiving harassing text messages.

Criminal mischief, 12:12 p.m.: Damage to a trailer by a thrown beer bottle was reported in the 1000 block of Ransome Avenue.

Harassment, 12:20 p.m.: A cashier at a business in the 1100 block of Chetco Avenue reported a customer hit him.

Threats, 4:14 p.m.: A juvenile reported receiving threats from an adult woman in the 600 block of Pioneer Road.

Suspicious conditions, 10:11 p.m.: A caller in the 300 block of Mulberry Lane reported something may be outside her residence.
