Sunday, July 1

Driving complaint, 1:26 p.m.: An off-duty trooper reported nearly being struck from the rear on Highway 101 near the Rogue River bridge.

Disabled motorist, 4:06 p.m: A family from Medford ran out of gas south of the Thomas Creek Bridge on Highway 101. A trooper gave the father a ride to Brookings to purchase a can and gas then returned him to his car.

Tuesday, July 3

Driving complaint, 7:30 a.m.: A contractor reported he was nearly struck by a commercial truck a mile south of Humbug Mountain.

Agency assist, 2:35 p.m.: A trooper assisted in the investigation of a minor crash between a car and a motorcycle at Shopping Center Avenue and Zimmerman Lane.

Theft, 3:50 p.m.: A trooper assisted Curry County sheriff’s deputies searching for a theft suspect at Loeb State Park. The incident occurred in the 16200 block of Highway 101 on June 30.

Wednesday, July 4

Warrant, 3:07 p.m.: A 20-year-old Grants Pass man was arrested in Harbor on a warrant and transported to Curry County Jail.

Theft, 6:30 p.m.: A Port Orford woman had $170 in cash and her iPhone taken from her car parked near the beach access at Cape Blanco State Park.

Warrant, 7 p.m.: A Brookings man was arrested at Lower Harbor Road and Boat Basin Road for a warrant and transported to the Curry County Jail.

Non-injury traffic crash, 7:30 p.m: A Port Orford woman swerved to avoid a car pulling out in front of her on Highway 101 near Nicholson Drive. Her car went off the road and struck a highway sign.

DUII, 11:28 p.m.: A Brookings motorist was cited and released for driving under the influence of intoxicants near the Chetco River bridge.
