Friday, June 29 Injury hit and run, 4 a.m.: A 47-year-old Port Orford man was walking down the middle of Hubbard Creek Road when he was struck by a motorist who failed to perform the duties of a driver. The man received facial and pelvis injuries. He was transported to Curry General Hospital and later flown to Sacred Heart Hospital in Eugene. Saturday, June 30 DUII, 6:45 p.m.: A Portland woman was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants on Highway 101 north of the Thomas Creek Bridge. During the investigation, more than an ounce of marijuana was found as well as hashish. She was transported to Curry County Jail. Sunday, July 1 Alarm, 7:21 a.m.: A trooper investigated a burglar alarm in the 15900 block of Short Way. He checked around the house and found no sign of forced entry. Hazard, 9 a.m.: A trooper removed debris from Highway 101 near Lone Ranch Beach. |
